Through rich oral tradition the stories have been passed through generations, and interpreted in myriad art forms, from woodblock carvings to illustrations to the theater. Now artist Dave Fox unleashes his inimitable style on the world of poltergeists. In an homage to Japanese artist Yoshitoshi, Fox has created a guidebook of 36 of his own visions. Using the traditional legends as a road map, he interprets the stars oF these tales with a vivacious execution and a Western tattoo artist's edge.
